Serving Alexandria

A family-owned frameless shower door company serving Alexandria and Northern Virginia

Alexandria’s housing stock is wonderfully varied: historic rowhouses in Old Town, bungalows and cottages in Del Ray, townhomes in neighborhoods like Rosemont, and condos and apartments across the city. Older homes often have small or unusual bathrooms, which is exactly where a custom frameless door shines, since every piece of glass is measured and fabricated to your opening.

Shower door work happens inside the bathroom, but we’re happy to coordinate around any condo or HOA rules, including approvals and work hours. Every installation — regardless of city — comes with our 3-year warranty, price match guarantee, and the personal attention of a family-owned business. We don’t subcontract. Rachid and his team do every measurement, fabrication, and installation themselves.

Permits for Shower Door Installs in Alexandria

Good news: replacing an existing shower enclosure with a new frameless glass door is typically a like-for-like fixture swap, not a structural change, so a permit is usually not required as long as the plumbing and layout stay where they are. A permit comes into play when the work is part of a bigger remodel that moves plumbing, adds electrical, or opens up walls. Permit rules vary by city and county, so please check with your local permitting office to confirm the requirements for your project.

What Our Customers Are Saying

“I am SO thrilled with my new shower! Rachid and his crew did a fantastic job. My bathroom remodel was a stressful project for me and my contractor did everything except shower glass. I had to find someone quick. I was nervous just going off internet reviews but my experience with Frameless Shower Systems was painless. Within 2 hours of my first call I had drawings and an estimate. Once things were ready for glass, Rachid came out the same day and measured. He answered all of my questions and explained everything. I had my glass a week later and it’s perfect! ... Nothing was plumb when he measured so he had to account for all of that. He also had to match the angle of the ceiling on the front of the shower (his suggestion). When it came time for installation, everything fit like a glove. Angles are perfect. And no leaks. This is a zero entry shower and the bottom seals perfectly even though the floor isn’t 100% level (off by a few mm). I couldn’t be happier with my new shower and highly recommend this company. Prompt, professional and beautiful work that will last a long time.”

“Our new seamless glass shower was installed and we love it. Rachid was quiet; the old shower frame was dismantled and removed and he cleaned all of the old silicone. During the initial visit, Rachid took measurements and presented us with a diagram of the new shower, and we picked the finishes for the hardware. We are very pleased.”

“ABSOLUTELY STUNNING UPGRADE! Frameless Shower Systems technicians were prompt, professional, detailed and courteous. The tempered glass is thick and premium, and the matte black hardware looks incredibly modern. I am 100 percent satisfied and look forward to my second bathroom shower door upgrade. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!”
